Thankful for family traditions and priceless memories.....

What a great 5 day holiday weekend!! It went WAY to fast though! Here are some of the memories we built and fun we shared.

My sister had a hard time keeping her eyes open during a picture. We had just taken about 10 shots of my brother, sister and I. Each one of them had my sis with closed eyes.....so my brother tried to help her out!

The hubby was the winner by a landslide once again. My father couldn't believe he hadn't bowled since last year with the family!

The best part............Mom came home and it turned out OK. She remembered more than we thought she would. I think she just liked getting out of the facility and being around people, even if she couldn't place and connect everybody!




My niece had a ball ice skating. I chickened out....too afraid of breaking a bone (that's what age does to ya!) I had a better time capturing pictures of her!




I can't wait until next year!

House Divided......

Today we have a house divided. Well, between my father and brother that is. They are brave souls today, as they went to the Ohio State vs. Michigan game in Columbus, Ohio and it was mighty cold!

You see, my brother attended and graduated from Michigan, then went on to Northwestern University in Chicago and became a Dentist. My father attended and graduated from Ohio State University. So, they both are loyal to their Alma mater. Well, they decided to meet in Ohio and attend this game together. At 80, my Dad just can't give it up, he's a buckeye true and blue.

Here is a picture my father had taken, from one of the many games he attended, where the band is spelling a script Ohio. I can just imagine today at halftime, as the band upholds the tradition, my father will be in a state of euphoria! My brother will still feel at home, considering as youngsters we attended many a game with mom and dad.

So, since I'm a Spartan alumni, I will have to say..........GO BUCKS! My father has me well trained!

I hope they are having the time of their life!

Yes!!!

He did it again! Another 4.0 grade card. It gets tougher each year and he still tries hard to keep his 4.0 average. He is on his way to getting into college, with hopes of becoming a plastic surgeon. At least that's what is in store for now, after I asked him again today if he still had those aspirations. I can thank Dr. 90210 for that. He loves that show. He has the stomach for it. I have to cover my eyes during the surgery scenes! He can even sit there and eat something as he watches it......ewww!

Well, whatever he decides, I just hope it is something he will love to do. I want him to love going to work each day.

I just loved this. She looks like a "mini" version of Sarah Palin. How creative! Makes me wish I had a little one to dress up again for Halloween!

Another cute idea from Bakerella.......Cupcake Bites. Wow, is she ever talented. I love to bake, but she takes the cake on baking (literally)!! They are a chocolate cup bottom that you make, similar to that of a Reese's Peanut Butter cup, and a cake ball top dipped in colored chocolate. I can't wait until classes are over (only one more week!), to find time to give these a try! So, click on her name above and it will take you to the recipe for these cute little guys!




Ok, now off to finish the 350 page book on great leadership qualities, two page report on that, a vision statement and a five page paper on my professional development plan.....plus grade cards to do and parent/teacher conferences all by Friday! Procrastination never pays! I'll blame it on my ADHD!! Well, I completed one class this past Saturday and one more this coming Saturday, now only nine more classes to go!!
