Future photographer at fourteen......

My son loves to take pictures and brings his camera everywhere,
but some of his best shots are right at home with our cats. Jade
almost looks like an owl here!

Jade is always playing, running here and there
and he still manages to get such good shots of her.

Here she was playing "hide and seek" and looks
annoyed that he found her!!

He makes me smile....

This is a picture of my son when he was 6 years old and we were visiting my parents at their home in Florida. I was trying to get a picture of the lake in the background, and my son thought he wouldn't fit in the picture unless he ducked his head. I smile at this because I remember him always asking me.."I'm getting bigger mommy aren't I ?" Bless his heart...he thought he was so tall and such a "big" boy. It makes me think fondly of all those marks on the trim of his closet as he has grown over the years.

Now he is 5'11" and can't wait to pass that 6 foot mark!! He really is my "big" boy.............mom loves you!!

The next Kelly Slater.....

I just heard from my brother recently and he told me how proud he was of his son Nick (my nephew); he has been surfing since he was seven years old and now has made the US Surfing Team for his age group (15 years old). I never really realized how much of a celebrity he was until I googled his name and wow........several articles on him and his outstanding surfing ability. I guess he has a sponsor and all (Volcom)!! I do not get down to see them (North Carolina) as much as I should, we see each other only once a year when they come up for Thanksgiving. Well Nick....your Aunt Linda is very proud of you too!!
