Macro that...

I finally got one of the macro lenses I have been eyeing!! As soon as I attached the lens to my camera.......my son was out the door snapping away!

I think he did great, as I think he has a talent picking some great shots!

He was fascinated at capturing these ant hills. I asked......"why did you take pics of dirt?".....he said, "look closer Mom...see the ants", and I said..."ewwwww!".

But, he got some nice shots!

I love this one of Colby!

and......I found this fascinating!

Colby cuteness...............

Just thought I'd give you a peek at our little guy...Colby! He's growing fast! Such a ball of energy. If you aren't paying attention to him, he'll jump on your leg, let the claws grab a hold and proceed to climb up you until he's near your face for kisses!! So darn cute......well, except for having to be his human scratching post....oh, those claws are sharp!

June 3rd he will be three months old!!

The "ride"....

Friday we bought my son his very first car. He turns 16 in seven weeks and wants to practice in his new car for his road test. It will be much easier for him to parallel park in this. I am so happy for him, he is ecstatic about it. He deserves it though....he is a good kid who works hard on his grades and volunteers within the community. We lucked out on a great deal.....but have been searching for over 8 months.

Now he wants to drive me everywhere, even places he hated going before, just for a chance to tool around in his "ride"!

Mother's Day 2009........

It was, hands down, simply the best Mother's Day I have had with my mother in a long time. She was so happy......smiles galore! The staff even noticed and kept saying to her...."you are all smiles today Pat". I am so grateful she had such a great day! She kept saying to my Dad, "Paul we have some really good kids!" He would say to her, "It is because of you Pat....you taught our kids to be so kind and thoughtful of others". He then went on to explain different situations in which he experienced each of my brother, sister and I show such kindness. You know....I couldn't ask for more than that today. To hear my father talk of the impact my mother has had on teaching us such compassion, and to hear his pride of each of us, was the best! I am feeling very blessed that I have such wonderful parents.....especially a mother who cared enough to teach us some very important lessons in life!! Thanks Mom!!

Two down.....two more to go!

My son attended his second prom. He attended his freshman year and again this year as a sophomore. As he has it planned, he will go every year. He went with one of the sweetest girls I have met. Amanda asked him and they had a great time. He already has his senior year planned on who he will go with!! Well, come take a look at Amanda and Colton.......and Colton with his various friends.

Look at all those beautiful gowns! I don't remember them half as fancy and elegant in my day!

Wow, what a group!

I know what I'll be doing this summer...........

I'll be trying to figure the applications of this awesome software. I am so glad to have ordered this. As as teacher, I was able to get this for a great price because of educational discounts!!! So, now I can edit those dull photos of mine and boost the color. I am sure I have much to learn, but cannot wait to start!! This will be a fun summer project for me! My students wanted to start a yearbook club, and this will be so helpful!

So bear with me as I practice one photo at a time!!
